Pink guavas are little-known fragrant jewels. The shape and size of a tennis ball, they are pale yellow in colour and somewhat non-descript in appearance. Crates of pink guavas arrive at our kitchen in Bali each March/April. The scent of this fruit while we peel and prepare it for cooking fills the air with sweetness. We choose the ripest fruit from West Java and ensure we maintain the delicate, fragrant flavours through gentle and careful cooking.

Inside, this tropical fruit reveals its gentle pink flesh, pleasing in texture, like a pear. Pink guava is a wonderful breakfast jam on a warm, buttery croissant or brioche. Stir it into Greek yoghurt, bake in a cupcake, or be a devil and smother onto toast with peanut butter. The combination of flavours is divine!

We think that everyone should try pink guava at least once!

    My favourite AWANI jam. There is something to be said about pink guava. The smell of the actual fruit on the tree as it ripens is absolutely wonderful and the delicate flavour is unique. AWANI has captured all of that in this jam.
